Homemade Ranch Veggie Dip is a simple homemade ranch flavored vegetable dip. Serve it with fresh vegetables for a tasty snack or with a veggie tray for guests!

Ranch Vegetable Dip Homemade From Scratch
Creamy texture, classic flavor of ranch, super easy to make at home from scratch, this veggie dip is simple and delicious all year round.
A great way to eat more veggies, at least for myself, is to serve and eat them with a dip such as Easy Creamy Ranch Dip, Cheddar Sour Cream veggie dip, or this savory homemade ranch dip. (All easy recipes, so that’s a win!)
Really the main difference between this dip and our Creamy Ranch Dip is the base. This dip contains mayonnaise and that one has cream cheese; also in this one we’re adding the individual spices instead of taking a shortcut and adding the Hidden Valley ranch dip mix from the grocery store. Either way, both dips are delish!
This vegetable dip recipe makes a good appetizer (with fried pickles, blooming onion, fried potatoes, etc.!) or a snack or treat for last-minute gatherings, or just for the fun of it. You can whip it up in a matter of minutes and serve it with whatever you have on hand, whether it be crackers, chips or carrot sticks. You can even dip things such as chicken wings, nuggets, or tenders in this dip! With a veggie platter is one of my favorite ways to serve this dip.

Supplies we used
- Mixing bowl – I often like to use this for a little mixing bowl.
- Electric handheld mixer – this thing makes whipping up a batch of ranch dip a breeze! Wouldn’t want to be without it, though you could mix it up by hand or even with a stand mixer.
- Spatula or two
- Measuring cups and spoons
Ingredients
There are only six simple ingredients in this basic recipe! They are as follows:
Mayonnaise – doesn’t have to be name brand, any mayo should be just fine as long as it’s real mayonnaise, not Miracle Whip!
Sour cream – together with the mayonnaise, makes up the creamy base of this dip.
Dill – dried dill weed
Parsley – dried parsley flakes; if you have fresh herbs to use, go ahead! If you do use fresh parsley or dill, you’ll want to add about three times as much as the recipe calls for.
Salt
Garlic Powder & onion powder

What shall I serve with Homemade Ranch Veggie Dip?
Here’s a couple of suggestions for things that go well with this dip:
- Carrot sticks, celery sticks, broccoli or cauliflower florets, cherry tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, basically any fresh veggies you’d find on a vegetable tray goes great with this dip.
- Crackers such as FlipSides, Chicken-in-a-biscuit, Breton, regular old Ritz crackers, any of your favorites.
- Potato chips, without flavor preferably, tortilla chips, corn chips, are more great options.
- Chicken nuggets, tenders, fries, etc. Use this dip instead of store-bought ranch dip!
Notes
Take the spice level up a notch! Add cayenne pepper, black pepper, or paprika to taste.
Add a garnish of sliced green onion before serving, if you wish!
