Easy Creamy Ranch Dip is super quick to make with only a handful of ingredients and tastes amazing! It’s delicious served with fresh vegetables or your favorite crackers.

Easy Creamy Ranch Dip for Veggies or Crackers
This recipe makes a good appetizer, snack or last minute treat for guests. You can whip it up in a matter of minutes and serve it with whatever you have on hand, whether it be crackers, chips or carrot sticks.
Store-bought ranch dips taste ok, but homemade dips have the best flavor in my opinion. Plus, you can control the ingredients a little better!
It’s amazingly “more-ish” and hard to stop eating this stuff! And I’m not even a big fan of ranch seasoned things usually. I like to make homemade dressings sometimes, though this dip does not work too well as a salad dressing. It’s on the thicker side, the perfect dip for dipping anything from a celery stick to a potato chip.
A great way (and one of my favorite ways!) to eat more veggies, is to serve and eat them with a dip such as Homemade Savory Ranch Dip, Cheddar Sour Cream Veggie Dip, or this simple and easy homemade ranch dip. Supplies we used
- Mixing bowl
- Electric handheld mixer – this thing makes whipping up a batch of ranch dip a breeze! Wouldn’t want to be without it, though you could mix it up by hand or even with a stand mixer.
- Spatula or two
- Measuring cups and spoons
Four Simple Ingredients
Cream cheese – no miracle whip, mayonnaise, or buttermilk in this recipe, we’re going with cream cheese to achieve that creamy texture.
Sour cream – regular sour cream and cream cheese make up the base of this delicious dip.
Ranch seasoning – one thing that keeps this wonderful recipe so simple and easy is using the Hidden Valley ranch dip mix from the store instead of adding each individual amount of garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs and so on to create that classic ranch flavor. That being said, you can totally mix up some homemade ranch seasoning to use in this recipe!
Vinegar – add a little extra tang with some vinegar. I use white vinegar most times, though you can use apple cider vinegar, it just adds a little different flavor.

Carrot sticks, celery sticks, broccoli or cauliflower florets, cherry tomatoes, green, yellow, or red bell peppers, basically anything you’d find on a veggie tray.
Crackers such as FlipSides, Chicken-in-a-biscuit, Breton, regular old Ritz crackers, any of your favorites.
