Homemade French dressing is our favorite creamy salad dressing and it’s very easy to make at home with this simple recipe!

The Best Easy Creamy French Salad Dressing – Homemade from Scratch!
Today’s recipe is none other than our favorite pale orange dressing with a slightly tangy flavor – homemade French dressing. This creamy, slightly sweet dressing is perfect for drizzling on all your favorite salads (that is, if they’re a type of green salad!).
Crazy thing is, I don’t even care for classic french salad dressing from the grocery store. The homemade version is amazing, however! Homemade dressing is most times more delicious than store-bought salad dressing, though, and our recipe for Homemade Buttermilk Ranch is also very tasty! Check it out here!➡️
So here’s what my typical homemade salad looks like: first, there’s greens, whether it’s a spring mix or chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce. Then I add shredded carrots and cheese and croutons, and cherry tomatoes and diced peppers if I have them on hand. Add a generous drizzle of my own homemade salad dressing, and that’s it! There’s my simple salad. My husband likes blue cheese on his, but that’s not for me!
All that to say, ditch the store-bought dressings and let’s make a flavorful salad dressing at home!🤗

Here’s the Ingredient List:
Mayonnaise – and it should be real mayonnaise. Preferably not Miracle Whip!
Ketchup – your favorite kind of ketchup
Oil – avocado oil is my personal favorite, though canola oil or vegetable oil is fine too. Olive oil (especially extra virgin olive oil) has a stronger flavor, so I don’t recommend using it.
Sugar – white granulated sugar; I’m thinking that coconut sugar or raw cane sugar would work fine too since this dressing will get blended, though I haven’t tried it yet!
Vinegar – white vinegar; apple cider vinegar adds a different flavor.
Mustard – regular yellow mustard
Water – this is simply to thin the dressing so it’s not quite so thick!
Paprika – either smoked or regular paprika is fine.
Salt – your choice of salt. Depending which kind of salt you use, you might want to add a little bit of additional salt, since some seem “saltier” than others!
