Our quick and easy Hamburger Chip Dip Recipe makes a creamy, savory chip dip with only 4 simple ingredients!

This easy amazing recipe makes a wonderful appetizer or treat or snack; it’s the perfect party food for your next party!
Or, it’s a good idea for a light lunch. For example, last summer while camping, chip dip made a delicious lunch in the middle of a warm, activity-filled day.
MMM, chip dip.
It’s delicious!
Of all the easy dip recipes out there, this is one of my favorite recipes for hamburger chip dip because it’s got great flavor and it’s so easy and simple to make at a moment’s notice.
And it’s made with staple ingredients I most likely probably already have in the house.
Which is great, because I find it bothersome to have to run to the store for that one ingredient I’m missing.
We used to live a minute from the nearest little grocery store, but now we have a little 5 minute drive so it’s a little more inconvenient.
Not to mention all the other random things that end up in my basket or cart somehow when I do end up running to the store for one thing.
Oh well, I think I’m learning.
Learning to be a better meal planner and intentional grocery shopper.
Today, I was able to put together this easy, delightful (and “more-ish”!) hearty dip for lunch with all things I already had on hand.
We hope you and your whole family will enjoy this amazing hamburger dip recipe as much as we do!

How to make our Quick and Easy 4 Ingredient Hamburger Chip Dip Recipe
First, you’ll want to cook and brown the ground beef if it isn’t already cooked. In a large skillet on medium heat, cook the ground beef and chop into small pieces. (A meat chopper works great for this!) Drain off any excess grease.

Turn the burner to low heat and add the browned ground beef back to the pan along with the remaining ingredients: Velveeta cheese, cream cheese, and salsa.

Give the hamburger chip dip a good stir occasionally until everything has melted into one cheesy goodness.

Serve hot with tortilla chips. Enjoy!

Notes
Pro tip: Place in a crock pot or slow cooker on Low or Warm setting to heat or keep warm longer.
If the dip is too thick for your liking, a great way to thin the dip slightly is to add a little milk.
Storage
Store leftover hamburger chip dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Yes, you can freeze this dip, though we don’t recommend it since it contains cream cheese and the texture of the dip may change when frozen.
Customize your Hamburger Chip Dip
Even though this recipe is great as it is, here are some suggestions just for fun:
Different ground meats such as ground turkey, ground chicken, ground sausage, or ground pork can be used instead of ground beef.
Add your favorite salsa; we like our homemade salsa in this recipe, but you can easily use mild salsa, medium salsa, or hot salsa according to your preference!
The cheese, as always, is totally subject to your tastes. There are so many different cheese combinations and flavors you could try! Keep in mind, shredded cheese may result in a more “string-y” dip.
Tortilla chips are our favorites, though pita chips or corn chips are delicious as well.
And then, there are plenty of extra things you could add such as: green chilies, a can of Rotel, black beans, chili powder, taco seasoning, the list could go on and on.
