Granola bites contain six basic ingredients commonly found in homemade granola bars. They’re delicious to snack on, somewhat healthy and super simple to make!

If you’re like me, you like to have things in the house to snack on mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
I love a good snack.
And it seems to me that snacks tend to be very “more-ish” and not so healthy. (Now I will admit, I love a big handful of crunchy potato chips!😏)
But in this postpartum season, I am needing a healthy option that is not only good to my tastebuds, but also good for me.
“Granola bars would be the perfect snack,” I realized.
Unfortunately, granola bars and energy bars are rather expensive at the grocery store. But hey, who needs bought granola bars when you can make delicious ones at home with this great recipe?!
These no-bake granola bites are a great healthy snack, but also sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. (Plus, great on the wallet, if you’re into budgeting like I am!) They’re also a great homemade treat for school lunches, an after school snack or break-time snack at work.

Six Simple Ingredients
Rice Krispies cereal – crisp rice cereal
Rolled oats – old fasioned rolled oats
Semi-sweet chocolate chips – regular semi-sweet chocolate chips
Peanut butter – creamy peanut butter
Honey – raw or regular honey

Supplies we used
- Large mixing bowl – in which to mix up the delicious granola mixture.
- Small mixing bowl – in which to mix the wet ingredients before adding them into the dry mixture.
- Whisk – we used a whisk to combine the wet ingredients; a handheld electric mixer would also work great for this.
- Spatula – a good spatula is an essential when it comes to making anything in the kitchen.
Measuring cups and spoons – you’ll want to measure all the ingredients, of course.- Cookie scoop – this thing is very handy, not only for making cookies!
- Tupperware container – or something to store your finished granola bites in.
How to make Homemade Granola Bites – Healthy No-bake Recipe
Place the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
In a separate smaller mixing bowl, whisk the honey and peanut butter together.

And finally, mix everything all together in the large mixing bowl.

Take a cookie scoop (or your hands!) and shape into 28 balls (approximately 1-inch balls).

Now, all that’s left is to have a little snack of granola bites (along with some coffee?).
Enjoy.💛
Storage
When it comes to storing the granola bites, you’ll want to place them in an airtight container. Then they can be stored at room temperature for 5-7 days, in the fridge for 2 weeks or frozen for up to three months. (They’re actually delicious straight from the freezer!)

Notes
Quick oats work just as well, if not better than rolled oats in this recipe.
If you have difficulties shaping the granola mixture into little balls that actually stick together, refrigerate the granola mixture until it’s easier to handle!
There are alot of different things you could add to this recipe. Raisins, craisins, M&M’s, coconut, sunflower seeds, flax seed, nuts, dried fruit pieces, to name a few. Keep in mind, you may need to add a little bit more honey and peanut butter to get everything to stick together if you add extra ingredients!
