Quick and Easy Homemade Maple Cinnamon Oatmeal Granola
Skip the expensive granola with strange ingredients from the grocery store and make your own at home with healthy ingredients! It’s actually very easy to make your own homemade granola at home with a few common fridge and pantry staples you just might have on hand already.
You won’t need any fancy equipment, either.
Another plus, it doesn’t take long to whip up a batch of granola, pop it in the oven, set a timer and get other things done while it’s baking (and filling the kitchen with the amazing smells of maple and cinnamonš).
Granola can even be gluten free! Just make sure you get the certified gluten-free oats.
There are different ways to eat granola and our favorite two ways are: eat it in a healthy breakfast bowl with greek yogurt and fresh fruit or eat it as breakfast cereal with milk. And hey, crunchy granola makes the perfect snack! I like to have it on hand for a mid-morning snack (or afternoon snack, to be honest); whether I choose to eat it plain or take the time to make a parfait, it’s always a delicious tasty treat!

Five Simple Ingredients

- Oats – either quick oats or the old fashioned oats, steel cut oats or rolled oats
- Butter – I use salted butter
- Real maple syrup – pure maple syrup is the only sweetener and also adds the genuine maple flavor.
- Cinnamon – ground cinnamon adds a lovely flavor
- Salt – sea salt (or any) but sea salt is probably my favorite

Supplies we used
- Small saucepan – for melting the butter
- Whisk – to whisk together the tasty peanut butter mixture
- Measuring cups and spoons
- A spatula or two
- Sheetpan – a large, rimmed pan to spread out the granola and bake!
- Parchment paper – this is optional, though it does work great to line the pan with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

How to make Maple Cinnamon Oatmeal Granola
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
In a small saucepan on low heat on the stovetop, melt the butter. Remove from heat, then add the maple syrup, cinnamon and salt and whisk until it’s smooth.
Place the oats in a large mixing bowl, pour the liquid mixture over top and stir to coat the oatmeal thoroughly.

Place a sheet of parchment paper on a sheetpan and spread the granola mixture in an even layer on the pan. Bake at 250 degrees for about an hour or until the granola is starting to turn a toasty golden brown color.

Let the granola cool completely, then break into little chunks and place into a storage container. Enjoy!

How to Store Maple Cinnamon Oatmeal Granola
Place the cooled granola into an airtight container (mason jars, or any large glass jar with a lid works great and looks pretty, too!) and use within two weeks. If it lasts that long! lol
Pro tip: let the granola cool completely before storing, to get more clusters of granola! If itās still warm, itāll break into finer pieces.
