Ingredients
Ground beef
Oregano: dried oregano flakes (unless you have fresh oregano!)
Salt
Pepper
Pasta: your choice of macaroni. We used a fun seasonal macaroni this time!
Pizza Sauce: we use homemade, home canned pizza sauce. Marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce works well too!
Cream of mushroom soup: the bought kind is the handiest, but you can actually make your own cream of mushroom soup. (And it’s better, no doubt!)
Cheddar cheese: freshly shredded.
Mozzarella cheese: freshly shredded as well, though you can totally use a bag of shredded cheese from the store for convenience for both of the cheeses.
Pepperoni: MMM, pepperoni, a key topping, according to Randall.

Supplies we used:
(Or something similar!)
- Zwilling non-stick pan
- OXO pot
- Wooden utensils
- Silicone spatula
- Cuisinart grater
- colander/strainer
- Pyrex baking pan
- Measuring cups and spoons
How to make our Easy Ground Beef Pepperoni Pizza Casserole Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large skillet or pan, cook and brown the ground beef with the salt, oregano, and pepper. Then dump into a colander or strainer to drain off excess grease. (Don’t forget to collect the grease in a dish to keep or discard after it’s cooled and hardened, since you don’t want that in your drain!) Return the cooked, brown ground beef to the pan, or another large mixing bowl.

While the ground beef is cooking, get out a separate pot and cook pasta according to package instructions; or, boil in salt water for about 10-15 minutes until macaroni pasta is al dente.

Drain pasta; then you can add a drizzle of olive oil to the pasta and toss to coat to keep it from sticking together if you wish!
Then add the cooked pasta into the same pan with the cooked ground beef. Dump in the pizza sauce, and cream of mushroom and mix everything together!

In a greased 9 x 13 baking pan or baking casserole dish of your choice, spread the meat and pasta mixture.

On top of the casserole, spread both kinds of shredded cheese and pepperoni slices. (And any other favorite pizza toppings you wish to add!)

Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, until the casserole is hot and bubbling a little around the edges.

Enjoy!

What should I serve with Pizza Casserole?
When it comes to serving our easy ground beef pepperoni pizza casserole, we like to pair it with a side salad and maybe Easy Homemade Garlic bread. Copycat Olive Garden Breadsticks would be delicious as well!
For dessert, how about Eclair Dessert or Strawberry Danish Dessert?
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
This casserole also freezes well! You can freeze it before or after baking; a great way to do this is to completely assemble the casserole, toppings and all, then freeze before baking. When in need of a fast dinner, simply thaw and bake like usual! We don’t recommend, but you can bake it frozen, though it will take longer to heat and won’t heat as evenly.
And hey, it’s just like pizza! What are your favorite pizza toppings? The ground beef can be substituted with another ground meat option such as ground turkey or sausage, or Italian sausage or ham even. And obviously, we keep it very classic and traditional. There’s a bunch of topping options out there you could add such as: diced onions, green bell peppers, mushrooms, black olives, etc. Another good option for customizing this easy pizza casserole recipe is to use different cheeses such as parmesan cheese, or whatever you have on hand!
