30+ Gifts for Hunters is a gift guide containing great gift ideas for the hunter in your life this holiday season or any time of the year.

What does deer hunting have to do with a homestead and cooking blog you might be wondering?
Hunting is actually a big and important part of our Mennonite culture and lifestyle here in the Midwest. Every November, we have a week of buck season which is a highlight around here! (Not for me as much as my husband!)
Fun fact, Randall likes to hunt. We moved to a small acreage of land and now have our own woods to go hunting in. It’s a dream come true. (Deer bologna coming up!) Not only does he enjoy hunting deer, he also likes hunting turkeys, crows, rabbits, and occasionally coyotes or coons.
(And I, as his wife, know next to nothing about hunting, to be perfectly honest with you.)
In the past, when it came to gifts for birthdays or Christmas, I had no clue what might be the perfect hunting gift for someone who likes archery and rifle hunting!
Are you, like me, looking for the best gift ideas for your favorite hunter?
You’re in the right place. I convinced my husband to sit down with me and compile a list of great ideas to gift the special hunters in your life.
In this post:
You’ll find Randall’s list of the best gifts for hunters; things he’d either love to have or already has and likes.
Whether you’re shopping for a new hunter or experienced hunters and whether they like to hunt deer, turkeys, bears, rabbits, crows, mule deer, raccoons, coyotes, or any other creature we hope this list will inspire and give you some good ideas this holiday season.

4. Hunting Knife Set
A set of good, sharp hunting knife are some essential pieces of gear when it comes to gutting or butchering an animal. (I don’t really like the thought of my kitchen knives being used in such a way!) And there are a lot of great options for hunting and outdoor knives out there.
Shop on Amazon: Outdoor Edge 6-piece Knife Set

5. Headlamp
A flashlight is necessary for tracking (or butchering, even) deer in the dark. A headlamp like this is great! Wear your light on your head instead of carrying a cumbersome flashlight. These come in handy all year long, actually; not only in hunting season.
Shop here: Ledlenser Rechargeable Headlamp

6. Hand Warmers
Where we live, rifle deer season is in November and it can get pretty cold here in the winter! That’s when some of these HotHands hand warmers are great to have. They’re small little packets you can stick in your gloves, pockets or boots to help stay warm while trying to sit still in the tree stand. You can even get re-chargeable electric hand warmers, if you’d rather!

7. Face Mask
An insulated winter face mask. It covers your whole head except your eye area to keep your head and neck nice and cozy.

A good pair of insulated gloves makes a great gift as well. What’s great about these is you can either have the mitt part flipped back having just the thin gloves on your fingers or flip the mitt over the fingers to keep them warm!
Find them on Amazon: Sitka Flip Mitts

9. Socks
Seems to me, whenever I’m outside on a cold day, my feet and toes are the first things to get cold! So some warm socks is a perfect solution and an ok idea for a gift, too.
Shop here: Carhartt Socks

10. Thermal Underwear
Around here, cold weather and deer hunting often come at the same time. That’s when a set like this comes in handy! A thermal base layer to help lock in the body heat is great when planning to be outside for longer periods of time.

Calls make an excellent gift. And they won’t break the bank.

13. Hunting Blind
There are different sizes and kinds of hunting blinds; we have (and like!) this pop-up style. Easily set it up anywhere and just like that, you’re ready to hunt! 21. Binoculars
Quality binoculars make a great gift for hunters. These come in handy at times other than hunting season, as well. A spotting scope is especially useful in areas where you can see for miles, like say whenever hunting in the mountains or flat plains.

24. Insulated Cup
A tough, durable bottle to keep the coffee hot on those chilly early mornings or either to keep water from freezing if it’s really cold outside. Attract the big bucks by making buck fighting sounds with a set of rattling antlers like these! Isn’t it amazing what you can buy for hunting these days? This was a new one for me!

Meat storage can be a challenge. A great way to store venison is to seal it in a vacuum sealed package to maintain freshness until you’re ready to cook it or take it to the butcher shop! Cool thing is, this can be used all year long for a wide variety of things, like leftovers.
Shop here: Deluxe Food Vacuum Sealer

30. Personalized Hunting Storage Box
Something like this, a heavy duty storage box for them to store their hunting paraphernalia in, makes the perfect personalized gift for a hunter.

31. Cookbook
(Because we couldn’t do a blog post without including at least a little something pertaining to cooking!) Here’s a cookbook especially for wild game! After a successful hunting season, there’s all that meat we don’t want to let go to waste. This is a complete guide to cooking wild game, perfect for hunters (who also like to cook!).

32. Gift Card
If all else fails, there’s aways the option of giving a gift certificate or card to their favorite store like Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s or even Amazon! Then the big game hunter can go purchase whatever he pleases.
Shop here: Gift Cards for everyone

33. Insulated Bodysuit
Ever see something like this? It’s a body insulator suit, designed to keep you warm and cozy during a cold winter hunt. It’s sort of like a sleeping bag, but for hunting.
Shop here: ArcticShield Body Insulator

Last, but not least, snacks. Something protein filled like meat sticks, maybe? Nothing with crinkly, crackly packaging, for sure.
