Cream Cheese Salsa Dip consists of four simple ingredients
Cream cheese – a block of cream cheese, regular unflavored cream cheese to be exact.
Salsa – a can of your favorite brand and flavor of salsa. (We use our own salsa; it’s a chunky homemade home canned salsa!)
Cheese – top off the dip with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
Tortilla chips – can’t forget the chips – they’re essential for dipping!

Supplies
Baking dish – 9×9 pan or dish of some sort to hold the fabulous dip.

How to quickly soften cream cheese
- Set the warm zone on low on your stovetop.
- Remove the cream cheese package from the cardboard box and place on the warm zone.
- Flip the cream cheese package every couple of minutes until it’s soft and spreadable.
- Use in your recipe as directed!
If you’re like me, I tend to forget to get my cream cheese out of the refrigerator until I’m ready to use it. Weeellll, that doesn’t always work too well if the cream cheese needs to be spread or mixed. So this is my favorite way to soften a block of cold cream cheese in minutes!

Notes
Fun fact, this dip can also be eaten cold and it’s still perfectly delicious!
Hot salsa, mild salsa, green salsa, red salsa, or even homemade salsa, take your pick to customize the color and spice level of this easy dip recipe, turning it into the perfect appetizer for you and yours.
As is often the case, there are so many more ingredients that would all make a great addition of extra flavor to this creamy salsa dip: fresh cilantro, sliced green onions, sliced black olives, to name a few.
Cheddar cheese we grated ourselves is what we chose to use; to make things even more simple you can buy pre-shredded cheese, maybe even a Mexican blend cheese for more flavor?!
We prefer tortilla chips for dipping, though corn chips are also tasty with this delicious dip.
